Well all of us can't have perfect pictures you know, we don't all always look great, like models on a shoot. Pffft. Whenever i see that coat, all i can think is how much i love it. And it also makes me happy because you know the way when it's cold outside and you're outside and you don't have enough clothes on so you're cold? Well with this coat, that never happens, it's so warm. And when it's cold outside (and everybody else is cold because they only have silly light coats on) and you are nice and toasty warm, it really helps get your happyness levels up, doesn't it? Sheepskin, i tell you. Probably why my mother loves her fur. But i just can't wear fur, i just can't.
ANyways, pictures from our little weekend in England coming home from India when i put on another 5K in clothes from the ten second hand shops we managed to get to in just two days. HAHA. I'm english and yet the last time I was in England for more than what, 4days, must of been....10 years ago? Say hi to your hometown babes.
(What is on my head? Mys sister, foor some reason, kept telling me that hat was great. I'm not so sure any more.)
My mother annoys me so much sometimes. Like when she comes in and starts having a go at me because the phone isn't working because somehow i have managed to plug my computer into something that has stopped the phone working except i haven't plugged my computer into anything except for the printer, and the printer doesn't have anything to do with the livebox so it couldn't of affected it anyway. Yeah, make sense of that. So now there are waves of cold waving around between us.
And now she's reminded me that it's 20 past one and that we have to get up at half eight tomorrow, yes mother, i know how to read the time, thanks.
If there was a competition fo who swore at their computer the most i would win it, i'm 100% sure. Swearing at things in general, such as the sewing machine when it breaks the needle or loses the thread for the tenth time, seems to be my thing at the moment.
Why do i look chubby in these pictures??HUH? Me and my constant friend, my double chin, hahahaha.
Gold is my new green, except for St Paddy's of course. (which was crap btw, hope other people had a better one). I've been wearing as many broches/chains as possible in one go without looking completly stupid. I think i've been succeding pretty well. And i found most of them (the chains obsession is not very old, less than a couple of weeks) in the flea marke in Brussels. And then we went into H&M, and guess what, their new collection of accessories is a load of gold chains too. Add to that my dresses, tights, jumper dress, socks, and that waistcoat from topshop i would love, and i could turn into gold one of these days. Or turn gold colored. Be better than pasty-pastry white. The minimalist style is just not for me.
And, and, and; and anyway, I feel like a rabbit today.
My sister and I decided to do our own photoshoot, just for fun. Please ignore all the weird things around us, the weird poses and expressions on our/my faces, and also i haven't bothered photoshopping the pictures so don't be surprised if they're a bit funny. It's our first time and we went a bit mad, so tell me what you think, I haven't put the pictures of my sister up because i think she didn't want me to. And i dont know why but some of the pictures went fuzzy, sorry.
You can't really see but i have a load of pins and brooches, they're my latest faze, i love them and pin them onto anything. Also any kind of gold chain/earring/bangle. I was just wondering what people might think of our afternoon of fun, so i thought i'd post some pictures up. By the way, I seem to be a second-hand clothes addict in this, and i am, but i do also buy some (a lot of) new things, only for this most of the things we used are not. And also, i'd like to say, i wouldn't wear most/all of these outfits, it was just for the photos.
Slippers are fom India, they're made of felt (it gets really cold here in the winter, ironie of all ironies), leggings from topshop, gold sparkly jumper from the second hand shop, necklaces from all over the place.
Shiny cycling leggings from the second hand shop, shoes are off roller-skates, i unscrewed them from the wheels, leopard print scarf is from India, black and gold sparkly cardi from the second hand shop as well, glasses, the forst ones are Balenciagga and the second ones Emmanuel Khan both from an antiques fair.
Me and my friends, hahaha. The leggings are the cheap 3-pounds-from-primark version of the american apparel ones and they are horribly uncomfy, hence the nice price, old Doc Martens, and sailor's coat from the second-hand shop. Sunglasses from the second hand shop as well.
Jacket from the red cross shop in town, leggings topshop also a long time ago, boots i'ms not sure, i got them a few years ago and have never really worn them (they are pink wellies with a hell and with cherries on them...hard to wear in a small town), necklaces from the flea market and bag inherited from my Mum. Please ignore the can-man-lampshade next to me.
Leggings from a vintage shop in Amsterdam, red wool jumper from the flea market in Barcelona, old Doc Martens from when we were 14, necklaces i made myself from bits and pieces.
Leggings from a vintage shop in Amsterdam, Denim jacket from my Dad when he was 19, Nikes ten euros from a flea market in Spain, dress from topshop a long time ago, hat from a vintage shop in Greenwidge. I really don't like that mannequin/octopus, hence the pose.
Who else would complain: gap year, travelling, resting, no homework, no early hours except to go to the flea market, riding whenever i want (practically), sleeping,......But no, i know i shouldn't but i'm complaining, i'm so bloody bored. I'd like to get a job, n°1 choice being in a vintage clothes/second-hand/charity shop. And get my driver's license, because then i would be free, free as the wind. But no, instead i am stuck at hme and when faced with the possibility of going out (tonight) i'm hesitating, because, well.....let's formulate this right, i don't even like any of the people around here.
"Think of all the little africans who are a life way worse than yours". Don't worry, everytime I complain (always internally or written somewhere no-one will see it such as here) I think of them. No worries there. God, i'm so confused.
Amsterdam was a looooong time ago. But I don't have any pictures of my recent outfits. Since most of the days i stay in pijamas all days because i don't go out and can't find a reason to get dressed (i'm not manic depressive, it's just too cold in my house and really, there's isn't any point in getting out of my comfy-hanging-around-clothes) and also because i feeel terribly vain taking pictures of myself because i always end up taking about twenty before getting a nice one and nobody's been around to take any pictures for me. Anyway, sorry, i'll stop rabitting.
It's true, everything i want to buy recently is shiny. I've also discovered brooches (i had to look that up to spell it right), which i always though were old looking, or at least i never liked them, and now i've attached five to my lastest favorite cardi. Which i've worn three days in a row, unheard of for me. Mum says i'm like a magpie. I like it :) :) :) I also have a fake diamond on a gold chain as a necklace, and fake diamond matching earrings. Which i made myself, which i love. And a fake diamond ring, which i found in the recesses of one of Mum's many magic drawers. So glitter and gold (which i just now discovered is the new "in" color haha) and leopard print are my latest, er, obsessions? that's a bit strong. "Fixations", my latest fixations, much better. Making jewllery is nice, and way easier than dressmaking, ew ew. I tried to make a dress following a pattern that i'd made. Didn't really work. something to do with having to sew in a straight line?
My toes are sticking out and they're getting very cold. My dog is now on a diet, she's in human weight 30 kilos overweight. She's on "obesity-managment food". Sweet. And the speakers on my computer are all fucked up. I love life.
Pictures are from Ireland. The mini with the heels wasn't such a good idea for going around little country towns.
I'm not going to upload that many pictures because it takes too long (the advantages of lving in the middle of nowhere: a terrible internet connection) plus most of them aren't fashion related. Not that that matters, really, looking at all the other pictures on this blog. Oh well.
The last time i did was for New Year, when we were a grand total of three, me, my mother and my aunt. So not worth shaving my legs. And somehow, i don't know how, i've lost all the pictures of it. It's really annoying. Really really annoying. This wasn't me dressed up. This was at Emma's last year, sniff sniff, i miss it/her/then.
